Special Selection for Applicants with Overseas Education

Special Selection for Applicants with Overseas Education
“Special selection for applicants with overseas education” is a selection method for applicants who have received their high school and undergraduate level education in a country other than Japan. Not all the departments offer this selection method. Detailed admission information is usually announced in April every year at the following website:
http://www.k.u-tokyo.ac.jp/exam_e/exam-ent_e.html

Outline

1) Screening

Applicants are screened and selected through a comprehensive process considering the results of a written examination, oral examination, and document screening. In 2010, only two departments — Human and Engineered Environmental Studies and International Studies — and the Graduate Program in Sustainability Sciences screened applicants by submitted documents only.
