The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan raised the Infectious Disease Risk Level of Novel Coronavirus in Hubei Province, China at their Overseas Safety HP.

Level 3: Avoid All Travel to Hubei Province, China, including Wuhan

* Please get the latest information about the novel coronavirus pneumonia illness through television and online news report because the information is updated daily.

(Re-)Entry to Japan will not be permitted for persons below effective February 1. For students and staff who fall under the conditions below,
prepare for unexpected itenerary change.
【Zhejiang Province will be added to the following control from February 13.】

– Any non-Japanese passport holders visited Hubei Province【or Zhejiang Province】,People’s Republic of China in the past 14 days at the time of arrival in Japan.
– Passport holders issued by Hubei Province【or Zhejiang Province】, People’s Republic of China.
