GSFS conducts entrance examination twice a year, in August and February.

Application Examinations Enrollment
Schedule A late June August October, or April in the following year
Schedule B late November February April or October

Examination methods that international students take are “Special Selection for Applicants with Overseas Education” or “Ordinary Examination“. All departments do not adopt both examination methods at each examination time, Schedule A and B. Therefore, please look into the guidelines well to find what methods is the best for your case. All departments except for the department of Human and Engineered Environmental Studies, the department of International Studies, and the Graduate Program in Sustainability Science require applicants to come to Japan to sit for the examinations.
